Longevity is a rarity in the technological world: most companies do not survive in the competitive market for more than seven years
With this in mind, the 20th anniversary of Acronis is an astonishing achievement.
The global leader in cybersecurity and cyber protection solutions started in 2003, in Singapore, as a startup for backup solutions. It made itself a name for its Acronis True Image backup for home users and Acronis Backup for businesses. The increase in cybercrime and operational complexity, the struggle of customers with multiple products from different vendors, and the hardship that managed service providers (MSP) had in integrating multiple software solutions, paved the way for Acronis to develop a more comprehensive and less complex solution.
The company answered these needs by creating a platform that integrated backup, cybersecurity, and workload management in an easy-to-use and understand interface. Acronis read the market, understood its need and offered a portfolio of products that includes over 200 American and international invention patents.
For 20 years, the company has been committed to pushing the limits of innovation and providing the most complete solution to protect all data, applications, and systems. Its Acronis Notary is a crucial tool to prove data authenticity. Acronis Active Protection detects and prevents ransomware attacks. Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud has advanced packs that unify data protection, cyber protection, backup, and many other security and management features. The MSPs that partner with Acronis know that their clients' workloads are safe, no matter where they are.
Acronis is also a trailblazer in social responsibility. The Acronis Cyber Foundation Program expanded to over 25 countries in five years, partnering with foundations such as the Bulgarian Red Cross and UNICEF. In 2022 alone, the program built five new schools, among other humanitarian efforts, supporting over 5,000 children, and supplying aid to over 3,500 people impacted in Ukraine and over 3,000 people in Turkey.
The company has achieved so much in 20 years, and already has plans for the next 20: to make the virtual and the real world better and safer, businesses more efficient and profitable, and people more secure and happy.
