Velingrad is the sunniest and most charming corner of Bulgaria, located in the beautiful Chepino Valley at an altitude of 750-800 metres. This is the place where you can revive your mind, body and spirit and boost your energy with the positive vibe of untamed nature, the magnificence of the mountain peaks and the landscape's variety in all seasons: lush greenery in spring, gentle sun in summer, warm pastel colours in autumn and snowy mild winter. Beautiful localities and nature sites preserve unique nooks of virgin nature and culture monuments.

The rare combination of the region's natural, hydrological and climate properties puts Velingrad among the top spa and climate resorts. Its biggest wealth are the 77 natural hot springs with different properties, composition and temperatures ranging from 27ºС to 98ºС. Velingrad unites in itself almost all healing properties of mineral waters in Bulgaria and Europe. There are six mineral baths in town plus dozens of mineral pools and spa centres.

At spa centres are applied programmes for stress and weight reduction, beauty programmes, preventive care with traditional and alternative methods. The Bulgarian treasures – yoghurt, Rosa Damascena oil, honey, herbs and unique accessories, are used in the original, innovative and updated spa ceremonies.

Mineral springs are Velingrad's wealth, and its pride and emblem is Kleptuza, the biggest karst spring in Bulgaria. The beauty of the century-old trees hanging over the water, the wooden bridge and the waterfall bring romantic atmosphere to Kleptuza Park.

17 kilometres from Velingrad is Yundola mountain resort, attractive the year round. Make your stay more interesting with a trip on one of Europe's most attractive narrow-gauge lines, a flight with glider and a visit to the only spa camping ground in the Balkans.
