What are the core challenges the business will face when complying with the directive NIS 2? How can you help?

The European Commission suggested the NIS 2 directive. It introduced reliable measures for risk assessment to increase the cybersecurity of network and information systems in the EU, and had to become part of national law of member states by October 2024. The directive divides the organisational entities to "essential" (energy, transportation, water supply, digital infrastructure, public administration, finance etc), and "important" ones (food manufacture, postal and delivery services, digital services providers). NIS 2 introduces a number of requirements that businesses should comply with, including vulnerability identification, watching out for potential attacks, regular security audits, procedures for regular assessment of effectiveness of security measures, immediate reporting of security-related accidents and more. The businesses should comply at very limited deadlines, otherwise they risk paying significant fees.
