Carpets against Covid-19

The raison d'être of Hemus is to create beauty, to provoke and to remind that challenges are a part of life, but so is the crave to overcome them. Relevant to the times we live in, Hemus chose Vagabond Magazine to present its charity auction of textile paintings. 

Each of them is a certified object of art and will bring spirit and atmosphere in any office or representative space. The pieces have stature of museum exhibits and were shown to the wide public in 2016, at the Museum of Sofia.

The sale price of 4,800 euro is much below their real value.

The charity auction proceeds will go to:

• fight against Covid-19 with providing help to children of doctors and teachers who lost their lives in the pandemic, the For Good fund and purchase of medical equipment for hospitals in Velingrad region;

• job protection for the creators of these unique pieces of art, as they are the only people in Europe who preserve the skill of old carpet weaving.

Hemus is ready to go beyond this, and will weave a carpet after your individual design or idea, earmarking the proceeds to one of the above-mentioned causes.
