Ventzislav Boyadjiev, Executive Director, on how to become a market leader
Each intelligent company wants to be bothered with as little extrinsic activities as possible. Since 2009, Lindström Bulgaria has helped firms that need professional workwear and mats. The Bulgarian branch of the Finnish company, which is an European leader in the field of textile services, takes care of everything – availability of high-quality rental workwear and mats for a wide spectrum of industries, plus professional maintenance, washing and disinfection. A special e-platform helps clients to manage the volumes of rented workwear and mats in accordance with their particular needs.
It is hardly a surprise, then, that Lindström Bulgaria is a market leader in its corner of household services outsourcing. We met with the person who is to a highly degree responsible for this success – Executive Director Ventzislav Boyadjiev. He has been a part of Lindström since the company stepped on the Bulgarian market.
Lindström Bulgaria won the Forbes Bulgaria award for Service Company of 2021. What is behind this success?
This was a significant recognition for the efforts of me and the team of Lindström Bulgaria in the past 12 years. Our managerial team is only of company employees who started in non-managerial positions and grew in their careers.
Our business in Bulgaria is successful because we realise our long-term goals based on 5-year strategic plans. Our strategy for 2025 is ready and we are actively working on it.
We, at Lindström Bulgaria, carefully monitor our market share. According to the latest data, we hold over 96% of complex rental workwear services and over 85% of mat rental services.
Our services are innovative and with the years we have built up a wide and loyal client base. Even in the crisis 2020 our revenues increased about 4%.
We, at Lindström, use several methods for evaluation of customer satisfaction, their retention and loyalty, and employee performance. Our results are stellar.
All of these and our systems for quality and performance control, and our reputation, are probably why we became a Service Company of 2021.
Why does the Bulgarian market need Lindström services?
When we started, the business of service outsourcing was new for Bulgaria. Not anymore. A growing number of companies use operational leasing of cars and equipment, for example. We benefit, too, from the business's openness towards outsourcing solutions.
Our clients also like the digitalisation of our services. With our innovative platform eLindström they manage by themselves the volume of services they rent, adapt the quantities in accordance with their present needs, make additional deliveries and return workwear they do not need anymore, for example when hiring or terminating seasonal workers.
By renting workwear from Lindström, our clients are freed of the need to buy and store work clothing, to wash and repair it, to destroy it. We take care even for the distribution of clothing in individual lockers for the employees.
Our mat rental services also free our clients from the need to buy them, to take care of their maintenance and repair, and to destroy them.
For what companies are your services?
Lindström Bulgaria operates on the B2B market. Our complex workwear rental services suit best companies in the food and engineering industry, food and other retailers, car repair companies, electronics manufacturing, laboratories. They are also popular with companies who need certified protective clothing for their employees.
Our mat rental services are for public buildings – stores, office buildings, schools and kindergartens, factories, hotels, restaurants, cafés.
Our service is unique with its complexity and flexibility. We are always ready to react if a company needs more or less workwear.
Which are the most popular services of Lindström Bulgaria?
It is hard to say. We apply an individual approach to each client and each sector has its own needs. Presently, due to the Covid-19 crisis, there is an increased demand for solutions that improve the general hygiene in workwear and for mats with disinfection functions for control of contamination and pollution by buildings' entrances. There is also a demand for specialised workwear for welders and people in metal extraction and production that will protect them from aggressive environments such as high temperature or chemicals. We are witnessing, too, an increased interest in workwear for the electronic industry, where products should be protected from electric discharge.
How do you disinfect workwear?
We comply with one of the most important and strictest standards: EN 14065:2016, an addition to the ISO 9001:2015 standard. All Lindström branches are certified after it, the one in Bulgaria included. We regularly measure the microbiology present on our end products. We use special industrial washing methods with triple disinfection – mechanical, chemical and thermal. We wash at a very high temperature with certified detergents that guarantee to kill pathogenic bacteria and viruses. We also have a special technology for sorting workwear clothing to eliminate possible mechanical pollution.
