THE WINNERS IN DIBLA DESIGN AWARDS 2022 ANNOUNCED
See who are the best interior designers in Bulgaria
The interior design competition Dibla Design Awards 2022, organised by the dibla.com platform, was a great success for the seventh year in row. The names of the winners were announced on 29 March to an audience of over 1,200 guests who personally experienced the magic of interior design and learned first who is the best in the field. The event was hosted by Inter Expo Centre and had international participation, setting the standard for such types of events in Bulgaria. The stylish ambiance, the artistic design, the nice music and the special guests helped the event to attract a record audience and to become the centre of public and media interest.

Over 100 participants applied for the competition, proving that interior design in Bulgaria is growing stronger by the year. The unquestionable qualities of the applications were a challenge to the international jury of Bulgarian and foreign professionals. For Dibla, however, all competitors were winners. The desire to grow your practice through an event of the level and scale of Dibla Design Awards is crucial and fundamental for the development of each true professional.
The ceremony was attended by the members of the prestigious jury Atilla Veress, professor in product design in Istituto Europeo di Design, and Olgierd Jaskulski, designer for the VOX brand. They shared their views on strategic design, how design defines the environment and builds the future. Other special guests of the event were Professor Vasil Zhivkov, leader of the Interior and Furniture Design department at the Forestry University and professor in Interior and Design for Architecture at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Sofia, Ilian Milinov, founder of Ilian Milinov Studio and member of the Union of the Bulgarian Artists and speaker in many events, including TEDxBG, the Designer of 2017 Megi Ilieva, the Designer of 2018 Krasi Kapitanov, the manager of Inter Expo Centre Ivaylo Ivanov, Tsvetana Shipkova, Editor in Chief of MD magazine, Guan Sin from the Chinese Embassy to Bulgaria, Giovanni Martinelli, Deputy Chairman at Confindustria Bulgaria. For the second time, Dibla presented a special award to one of the competitors. It went to Boris Blagoev, investor in the BEY HOUSE ROYAL HOTEL. Simona Zarkova, an interior designer, creative director and organiser of events at Dibla, presented the award.
The competition for the title Designer of the Year is always tough, which speaks volumes on the high and constantly improving level of Bulgarian interior design and the local environment that stimulates its development. This year, the most coveted award went to SGI Architects & Masterplanners. It was presented by last year's winners, Fimera Design Studio.
Dibla will continue creating initiatives that inspire and encourage creative professionals to be better, learn new things and apply them in their projects, aiming at improved international recognition for Bulgarian design. This is motivated by the success of Dibla Design Awards.
