The international organisation Women on Boards was a partner of the event
On 11 May, the new creative space of Schwarz IT on 51 Cherni Vrah Boulevard welcomed the third annual conference of Ladies' Forum Association. Vice President Iliana Yotova opened the event.
The key format of Ladies' Forum aims to offer a platform for discussion and exchange of ideas on topics connected to the role of women in business, entrepreneurship and society. Speakers from Bulgaria, foreign guests and the ambassadors of three foreign countries shared their knowledge and experience in three panels dedicated to diversity, equality and social transformation.
The viewpoints of key Bulgarian entrepreneurs with international careers, administrators and diplomats shed new light on topics of diversity, gender equality, opportunities for integration, equal pay and law changes.
"The power of diversity is a key concept in modern society where each opinion and perspective are valued. The annual conference is an opportunity to exchange ideas and experience that have the potential to lead to new solutions and social change. As an organisation that aims to nurture, train and support the development of leadership skills among Bulgarian women, for us it is important to not only start the discussion, but to continue seeking change in society's attitudes, to protect the rights of the female leaders for equal access to managerial positions in companies and organisations and last but not least, for equal pay," said Zhanet Zaharieva, Chairwoman of Ladies' Forum Association.
