Co-working by the sea
In an ideal world Christina, a passionate tourism and hospitality professional, and Viktor, a Managing Director in the financial asset management space, would be living and working by the sea all-year round. With two little boys to raise and full-time jobs to attend, they decided to create a summer destination instead. Moana Co-Café is their seasonal co-working café located in the southernmost town on the Bulgarian Black Sea – Ahtopol. For the past three years they dedicated their summers to developing Moana'ta (as locals refer to it) into a shared space. There you can comfortably work remotely while being steps away from the sea, thus fusing life by the sea and a productive working environment.
The working space serves as a proper café as well and operates from June to September. It offers 12 individual working spaces and 6 high-table spots. It is well-suited for individuals or small groups that are looking to get work done whilst on vacation, as well as for exclusive hire for groups of up to 20 people. The latter benefit not only from the co-working space, but also from the vast option of activities around Moana.
The location of the coworking space – just across from Ahtopol's iconic lighthouse – facilitates combining remote work with a relaxing or active out-of-office life. Whether it is surfing at one of Bulgaria's most famous surf spots, stand-up paddleboarding, bike riding, beaching, snorkelling or hiking in the Strandzha nature reserve, work-life harmony is easily achieved there. Even horse riding is an option on offer.
