Over the years, the team behind Arkont Design has built a reputation for creative, functional and impressive public projects that have won prestigious awards. In 2021, they received the Plovdiv Award for architecture and urban environment enhancement for their work on two educational buildings: the reconstruction and modernisation of a kindergarten and a primary school. The studio's team is currently working on a much more ambitious project – the design of a new building for three units of St George Hospital in Plovdiv.
One of the latest projects by Arkont Design is a complex dedicated to wellbeing, whose qualities have already been recognised by the professional community with a Building of the Year nomination in the category "Hotels and Hotel Infrastructure."
Terme di Hissar was developed with the vision of becoming a unique water and wellness complex inspired by the rich Roman heritage of Hisarya, a town known for millennia for its hot mineral springs. The resort's concept is based on bringing together accommodation, entertainment, sport and relaxation facilities, with a strong focus on Hisarya's emblematic mineral water.
The architecture offers a modern interpretation of ancient Roman public baths and is defined by clear forms. The resort features abundant greenery and open spaces, alongside a minimalist architectural approach with clean, balanced forms and precise proportions. The villas are spacious, with high ceilings and abundant natural light, creating a high level of comfort and aesthetic appeal. The construction is energy efficient, ensuring comfortable living throughout the year.
