Style is something extremely subjective and strictly individual, as are the factors that shape it such as people, space, environment and a sense of balance and harmony. We, at Lago Design, strive to create things that are timeless, things no one would want to part with or throw away, while at the same time making our small contribution to nature.

The individual approach to design, the refusal to impose limitations and the constant search for new possibilities within a specific space are instrumental for our journey to achieving the best solution. We question every interior element. Thanks to our own furniture and object manufacturing, we have the great advantage of being able to craft and polish to perfection every detail until the very final stage of its realisation. 

This is the place where we are free to take risks and seek the absolute limit of every form and material whether it concerns a kitchen, a library, a wardrobe or something else.

In order to create interiors that are as close to our concepts and ideas as possible, we expanded our range of services by starting a partnership with the Italian factory Art Nova. With them, we share the philosophy that regardless of its size, the contemporary home can be functional, modern and, at the same time, inspiring as a true work of art. 

It is precisely transformation and unconventional design and production of individual elements that create a sense of space which inspires daily without turning into a storage place for objects and people.

Lago Design manufacture

From our very first steps in 2003 as an architectural studio, we realised where beautiful ideas meet reality and that only the process of their realisation can truly give them the desired effect. This led us to create, as the great Italian architect Michele De Lucchi says, a "manufactory where we can make mistakes", and to search for solutions both in our creativity and in the technologies and materials we use. 

The personalised way in which we work, without limitations, requires a complex combination of highly technological CNC machines and traditional craft skills and techniques, as well as many non-technological processes that are unprofitable and inefficient for mass production.

Our projects are mainly related to architectural interiors, where the transformation of space is achieved not through separate elements but through complete compositions that unite different functional zones. These compositions share a common material, surface treatment and, most importantly, the freedom to produce customised details.

Our manufactory allows us to use different wood veneers to veneer individual elements in a way that creates impact both through the direction and sequence of the elements and through various patterns known as intarsia.

All elements of the interior compositions pass through CNC processing (5-axis centre), which allows the production of complex forms.

In addition to CNC machines, we also use traditional woodworking machines to produce blanks and elements from solid wood.

In this way we realise our projects using a wide range of materials, including solid wood, sheet veneers of different thicknesses, bonded lightweight structures, various finishes such as HPL and CPL, as well as MDF and other board materials.
