With over 20 years of business experience, Milena Kostadinova combines a clear sense of direction with purpose and vision. Since 2005, she has held a variety of managerial roles across different professional fields, each shaping her understanding of leadership and strategy. These experiences ultimately led her to her true mission: advancing healthcare through holistic approaches. Through a series of deliberate choices and years of hands-on experience, she has created a sustainable model that integrates long-term value, innovative technology and a humane approach. As the official representative of OxyHelp Industry for Bulgaria and the founder of a holistic therapeutic centre, she has introduced cutting-edge solutions to the healthcare sector. Her leadership is defined by honesty, perseverance, strategic thinking and the ability to inspire others by example.

You have extensive experience in managerial positions. What were the key moments in your professional development before OxyHelp Bulgaria?

My professional path has always been driven by a pursuit of excellence in service and a detailed understanding of client needs. I worked for over 20 years in international tourism, a sector that is the best school for adaptability and human capital management. In 2005 I took an important step by joining the development of a commercial company for high-quality hotel and restaurant equipment. This period was crucial because it taught me about strategic partnership with European brands and gave me a broad understanding of international business standards. In 2008 I founded my own boutique travel agency, which I continue to manage successfully today. All these stages developed in me the ability to see not just business processes but personal stories and needs, which later became the foundation for creating OxyHelp Bulgaria.

What is the most important managerial decision you have had to make in your career?

Without a doubt, it was my decision in 2020, at the peak of the global pandemic, to invest energy and resources in a completely new niche for Bulgaria – high-end hyperbaric technologies. At a time when the world was at a standstill, I chose to look forward to the future of healthcare. I decided that it was not enough to simply offer a service, but that I needed to become a representative of a global leader in the production of hyperbaric chambers. This was a strategic risk that became my most successful business venture because it met the growing demand for innovative and safe methods of recovery.

How did you discover OxyHelp and why did you decide to become the representative for Bulgaria of OxyHelp Industry?

My connection with OxyHelp Industry began from a personal search for the best health technology in 2017. Initially, my intention was simply to purchase a hyperbaric chamber and enter the service sector, but at that time the company was still at the very beginning of production. They offered me a partnership and representation for the Bulgarian market. Instead of looking for another manufacturer, I chose to wait and observe their development because I recognised uncompromising engineering quality. Over the following years, I deepened my knowledge, went through a series of training programmes, and when the time came, I already had a clear vision of how to establish the brand in Bulgaria as a synonym for safety and innovation.

What is the concept behind OxyHelp Bulgaria Holistic Center?

The concept of OxyHelp Bulgaria Holistic Center is built around the idea of intelligent health and personalised care. The centre is not just a place with equipment and services, but a space for cellular regeneration. We are a place where top-class technology meets the expertise of certified therapists. My goal was to create an environment where every client – from professional athletes to people recovering from serious illness – receives personal time, attention and a protocol designed specifically for their needs.

What is the centre's approach towards holistic treatment?

Holistic treatment with us means that we do not treat the symptom, but support the entire organism. That is why I have enhanced hyperbaric therapy with methods such as Bowen therapy, hydrogen therapy, osteopathy, osteoaesthetics, red-light therapy and metamorphic technique. I believe that the body is a self-regulating system, but sometimes it needs fuel (oxygen) and adjustment (holistic techniques) to function properly again. Before starting any programme, we carry out a full medical history review, and if necessary, bioresonance diagnostics. In complex cases, we consult leading international doctors specialising in hyperbaric medicine. This synergy between physics, biology and gentle manual techniques delivers lasting and profound results.

Why does hyperbaric therapy work and how?

The science behind the therapy is a physical law (Henry's law). In the hyperbaric chamber, under increased pressure, oxygen dissolves directly into the blood plasma, lymph and cerebrospinal fluid, rather than relying solely on red blood cells. This saturation stimulates collagen production, activates the body's own stem cells and drastically reduces inflammatory processes. The body receives a powerful energy resource for regeneration that is normally inaccessible under standard conditions.

How does a session unfold?

The session is an extremely comfortable and relaxing experience. The client enters a modern, spacious hyperbaric chamber, where they can read a book, listen to music or simply rest. In the larger chambers, there is the possibility to integrate sports, office or gaming equipment. The duration is usually around 60, 90 or 120 minutes. The sensation is similar to taking off in an aeroplane – a slight pressure in the ears, which is easily regulated. The interior of our chambers is designed to eliminate any feeling of claustrophobia, providing comfort and complete safety.

Who is the therapy suitable for and for what conditions?

The spectrum is extremely broad. Recovery after injuries, fractures, burns, post-operative conditions, and sports exertion. The therapy is invaluable for people with chronic diseases, diabetic foot, type 2 diabetes. For neurological problems it is used for rehabilitation after stroke, in cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, autism, and dementia. It is also of great help for urgent cases such as carbon monoxide poisoning, sudden hearing loss, tinnitus or vision loss. It supports reproductive health, restores libido and, not least, general health, such as post-Covid syndrome and certain autoimmune diseases. The results in children on the autism spectrum and in children with spinal dysfunctions are particularly inspiring – in these cases, the transformation in cognitive and motor abilities is tangible and gives hope to entire families. At the same time, the therapy is a favourite tool for biohackers and people seeking anti-ageing effects, longevity, recovery from stress and chronic fatigue.

Is it safe? How do you ensure the quality of the healthcare service you offer?

Safety is our highest standard. The hyperbaric chambers from OxyHelp Industry are certified according to all European requirements. The technology is upgraded every year, offering packages of procedures within a single session. As a representative, I integrate these machines into prestigious private medical centres in Bulgaria, which focus on sports, balneotherapy and holistic recovery. We also serve private clients who choose to have this technology in their homes for daily maintenance. The fact that global sports leaders such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Novak Djokovic, as well as celebrities like Madonna, Paris Hilton, Justin Bieber, biohacker Gary Brecka and many more, choose these chambers is the greatest recognition of their safety and effectiveness.

How would you define your leadership style?

I would define it as precision with empathy. My perfectionism guides me in planning and maintaining impeccable quality – in my business, details are a matter of health. That is why I chose to work with and represent OxyHelp Industry – a technology that, for me, is a synonym for uncompromising safety and refined design.

A woman leader has the intuition to recognise true quality among many options. But as a leader, I rely on empathy. It is important to me that my team believes in our mission as strongly as I do. For me, leadership is the ability to inspire the people around you to give their best, not because they have to, but because they see the meaning in the smile of a recovering patient.

Was there a specific moment in your professional life when you realised clearly: "This is it, I truly have leadership qualities and I will continue to work in this direction"?

I have always felt this leadership drive – it is part of my nature. In 2020, during the great uncertainty and consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, when many businesses closed and everything was unclear, I realised that a true leader is recognised not when the sea is calm, but when difficult, strategic decisions must be made in the midst of the storm. Instead of withdrawing and waiting for the storm to pass, I chose to invest, take risks and develop in a completely new niche. Seeing how my team and partners mobilised and placed their full trust in me, I understood that I have the ability to create stability and point the right direction even when everything around is uncertain. That was the moment when my inner confidence became an undeniable professional fact: leadership is my natural path.

How do you balance your personal and professional life? What inspires you to keep going?

For me, balance is a dynamic process. I recharge in nature – the forest and the river give me the quiet I need to hear my own thoughts. My friends and family are my roots. Cooking is my therapy – it is where I express creativity and care.

I am inspired by results. Every time I see progress in a patient who had been written off by other methods, I gain a new dose of energy. This is my fuel – knowing that OxyHelp Bulgaria brings health and a new chance at life.
