Is it possible for business trips to be smooth, comfortable and cost efficient regardless of their goal, scale and destination? If you have ever organized business travel, your skepticism is entirely natural. Roundtrip is the global solution that makes seamless business travel possible. The ground breaking service covers every step of the process – from ticket and hotel bookings to invoicing. It is now available to companies and professionals based in Bulgaria thanks to Inna Marinova, Country Manager of Roundtrip. Before joining the company in 2024, she gained invaluable experience as a sales and marketing manager in a range of ambitious companies across diverse industries.

Why does a company need external expertise to organize optimal business travel?

At first glance, business travel looks simple. Flights and hotels are only a few clicks away. But unmanaged corporate travel often hides quiet inefficiencies: fragmented bookings, unclear budgets, policy violations, last-minute pricing, and hours of lost productivity.

Business travel is not just logistics, it is strategy. When travel is structured, employees arrive focused and prepared. Leadership gains real-time visibility over spending and risk. External expertise transforms travel from a reactive expense into a controlled business function.

Today, efficiency is not optional – it is competitive advantage.

How does Emerging Travel Group support corporate clients?

Emerging Travel Group develops Roundtrip, a platform designed specifically for organizing business trips. The platform offers a full travel management cycle, from selecting and booking hotels, flights and railway tickets to arranging transfers, car rentals and other travel-related services. Roundtrip is a centralized ecosystem where companies manage the entire travel cycle – from booking and approvals to reporting and consolidated invoicing.

The platform enables automated policy enforcement, pre-trip cost transparency, ERP and accounting integrations, consolidated monthly invoicing and 24/7 multilingual human support. The system allows you to set corporate travel policies and spending limits, download detailed reports and closing documents, making your business trip smooth at every stage. Roundtrip helps companies save time, reduce costs, and make business travel comfortable and transparent.

We stand out with the balance between technology and accountability. We do not simply provide access to inventory; we provide structure and partnership.

What is the role of AI in business travel?

Artificial intelligence plays a preventative and analytical role. It helps detect irregularities before they become problems – pricing anomalies, booking risks, payment inconsistencies. This reduces friction and protects companies from avoidable disruptions.

But technology alone is not enough. AI enhances efficiency; human judgment builds trust. In our model, automation handles scale, while people handle urgency and nuance. The future of corporate travel lies in this balance.

What inspired you to join Emerging Travel Group?

After years in traditional sectors, I was ready for structural innovation rather than incremental change. Emerging Travel Group stood out because of its global mindset and technological ambition. I saw an opportunity not just to represent a product, but to build a market.

Launching Roundtrip in Bulgaria meant introducing a more transparent and structured approach to business travel. The biggest challenge was not technology, but mindset. Many companies were used to fragmented processes. Step by step, through conversations and demonstrations, we introduced a new standard.

I still remember one of our first clients. A few months after going live, their finance manager said: "For the first time, I know where our travel budget stands before the month ends." That clarity confirmed we were creating real value.

Personally, I am motivated by reducing stress in organizations. When a company moves from chaotic travel coordination to structured control, you can feel the shift. Their relief becomes my energy.

What goals did you set at the beginning?

My initial goals were clear: to position Roundtrip as a trusted corporate partner in Bulgaria and to build long-term relationships based on strategic value.

To achieve this, I focused on listening before positioning. Understanding the local market was essential. I prioritized responsiveness, transparency, and measurable results.

I approach my role with an ownership mindset. I treat decisions as if I am building my own company. That perspective drives accountability and long-term thinking.

Growth is never accidental – it is disciplined execution aligned with clear values.

What leadership qualities define your approach?

My leadership style is shaped by empathy, strategic clarity, and initiative. Leadership today is not about control; it is about trust and alignment. When technology, structure, and human connection work together, performance follows naturally.

Where is corporate travel heading in the next five years?

Corporate travel will become more intelligent, more controlled, and more personalized. Data will predict behavior and optimize spending. Transparency will become mandatory. Professionals will expect more human-centered experiences.

Efficiency matters – but so does well-being.

The companies that succeed will balance automation with empathy. Technology will optimize the process; leadership will define the purpose.

At the center of it all will remain people – professionals who travel to build partnerships and ideas. If we can make that journey smoother and smarter, then we are doing more than managing travel - we are enabling progress.
